CREDO is the Institute of Religion's response to the growing need of the Church for lay preachers of the Word. It is a zealous attempt to preach the Word of God through on-line religious instruction.
The Certificate on Religious Education Distance-learning Online (CREDO), a 21-unit and two-semester long certification program is intended for those who teach religion subjects but do not have a formal degree in religious education, including catechists who did not undergo formal training. Students enrolling in CREDO must be computer literate and must have at least a bachelor’s degree in any four-year program .
CREDO is a project of the UST Institute of Religion in collaboration with the UST Simbahayan 400 and the UST Educational Technology Center.
CREDO was inaugurated in Kalibo, Aklan on June June 24-25, 2011 and formally launched in UST on August 26, 2011.
