IR JUBILEE PRAYER 2008

O God the Father, bless us!

You have called us to be one in mind and heart,

in the 75 years of the UST Institute of Religion.

Bless our living and learning, our praying and teaching,

that we may be a sacrament of your presence,

and a witness to your love and solidarity with us.

O God the Son, give us life!

You have embraced our humanity,

infusing into the pangs of our birth

and the pains of our growth,

the grace that makes us whole.

Heal us from wounds that have lingered,

from faults hidden and hurts laid bare,

from bruises inflicted and burdens endured,

so that our brokenness may bind us

and bear fruit in compassion.

O God the Holy Spirit, inspire us!

You dwell in us and make all things new.

Guide us as we set our sights to realize our noble vision,

as we set our ears to listen to the voices of our times,

as we set our hands to work for the reign of God,

as we set our feet to walk in mission and martyrdom,

as we set our mouths to proclaim your gospel.

And let the angel of your peace minister to us,

to the people we keep in holy memory,

to the families we cherish,

to them, whom we call friends and companions,

to people we are called from and people we are sent to;

and lead us all to the Lord's gift of life made whole and holy.

With Mary, our Mother,

with Mary Magdalene, our patroness,

with Dominic de Guzman and Thomas Aquinas,

with all the Dominican saints and Thomasian martyrs,

We praise, We bless, We preach

Your glory, now and forever.

Amen.
